This post will be a short one, as time is short for me.  I was able to get out for my 2nd outing, in Chicago, this past Wednesday evening.  I waited for my son to go to bed so I could fulfill my role as fisherman and father.  He was sound asleep by 9:0o pm, so it was off to the lakefront I went.  The Burnham harbor area was the spot of choice due to convenience  and late hour availability.  I had to work the next day, so it couldn’t be a late night of casting only to be a zombie for my students the next day.

Fish were surfacing, as I arrived, and it only took about a half hour of chucking my bloody nose glow spoon to get a tap, tap, tap, fish.  The fish hit high in the water column and right at the wall.  It measured out to be 13.6 lbs and about 31 inches.  It was a male, so no spawn was gained.  Many other fisherman were out and also doing well.   I left shortly after, with a total of an hour fishing and one fish.  I will be out again Friday night to try and do some damage on these Illinois Chinooks.
