After school and getting my car out of the shop, I arrived home around 5:00.  My wife mentioned she would be taking the little guy shopping.  With nothing else to do, I decided to go fishing.  I put on some warm clothes, gathered my stuff, and made my way out to Mayslake, in Oakbrook.

By the time I arrived, due to traffic, the time was after 6:30 pm.  The weather was now cold, a meager 38 F, and the cold northerly winds were pushing a solid 10 mph.  I value my time on the water, so I figured I would make the best of it. The water was still very cold and dirty from the recent rains and wind.  I worked some brush areas with jig-n-pigs, plastics, and such.  I tried crank baits and rattle traps near deeper water.  I left at 7:30, or so, cold and ready to call it a night.  No fish were caught, but I wasn’t really expecting to.

Loving pictures, I did get a few night time photos before I left.  If I ever get the money, I would love to invest in a higher resolution, more powerful digital camera.
