A Nightime Excursion to Salt Creek
5This post will be short and to the point. Todd called me in the afternoon to do a quick wade at Salt Creek. I was not planning on going out, as I had to baby sit the youngster.
I finally got the go ahead around 5:00 pm, granted the sun sets at 7. We decide to meet up around 6:30 and figure we will make the best of it. By the time we got into the water, it was already 7. We worked an area down from Graue Mill hoping for a night time walleye or hungry pike. I threw a silver F7 Rapala, he worked a small jig-n-twister. I know Andrew had just hit that area earlier, so any active fish would have been caught by him (he ended up not getting anything either). The air temp was in the low-40′s, the water was close to normal, but very dirty. I did not cast at the normal rate I usually do, as it was good to get out and shoot the breeze with Todd. At about 8:15, with no fish, we decided to call it a nite.
