Fox River: Rough fish at the Fox’s mouth
01477 days
Paul and I decided not to take out the boat this afternoon. Instead, we wanted to see if any walleyes were still hanging around the mouth of the Fox River. We only had a short time, so we put some crawlers under bobbers and set out.
There were a few other guys around when we got there, and they were having some luck…..with shad. I am not talking about using them as bait, but catching them.
I was able to hook up with one which would be my personal best and first shad of larger than bait size. No wonder those muskies get so big in that river.
